Broquet was initially developed to increase and maintain engine efficiency when fuel costs were far less important. The increasingly high costs of fuel today establishes the fuel saving element of Broquet as paramount for all fleet car, commercial vehicle and vessel operators.
Reduced maintenance
Owning to the cleaning effect of the Broquet fuel catalyst, hard carbon deposits, waxes and gums that normally form in the combustion zones, due to poor combustion, are gradually removed. This results in improved heat transfer, freeing of piston rings, cleaner spark plugs and injectors. The formation of further deposits is also continually prevented which is particularly important for new engines.
Improve engine efficiency
Improve engine efficiency means better utilization of fuel and the resulting improvement in fuel consumption would be expected to be in the range of 7% to 12%. Depending upon the condition of the engine and how it is used the Broquet effect can be quickly seen in terms of economy (or more power) and smoother running. This together with the low initial cost of a unit, allows a very short pay-back period, making it extremely cost effective.
Use of unleaded petrol
The determination by most countries to phase out leaded petrol has caused problems for car owners of vehicles and vessels that, according to their manufacturer, can only safely use leased petrol. However, for more than 10 years Broquet fuel catalyst has successfully proven its ability to ‘convert’ these engines safely, efficiently and economically to unleaded petrol.
